The Linden Hill Estate remains one of the most historic Main Line legacy properties. The renovations at Linden Hill represent a sensitive and innovative approach showing how significant places can be brought into the twenty-first century without losing their magic. Constructed by architect Edmund B. Gilchrist from 1928 to 1931, the estate was originally built for stockbroker Rodman Ellison Griscom. In the 1950s, the Dorrance Family of John T. Dorrance, the Campbell Soup chemist responsible for the conception of condensing soup, purchased the property and raised their family on the estate until the mid 1990s.   • A grand foyer establishes the main floor of the Linden Hill Estate, entered through large double doors. The main floor is comprised of the formal living room, formal dining room, primary kitchen with butler’s pantry, breakfast room, sunroom, library, trophy room, and the owner’s wing.
